We are really pleased to introduce part 2 of our 3-part showcase of the beautiful work from our very talented Module 2 students of The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design who took the course in October 2014. Here are some of our fantastic students & the work they have created over the 5 weeks in class.

“I enjoyed connecting with the other members in the group Facebook page and seeing their work. The course inspired me to think about design each day and produce my first small collection” – Keri Andrews

“What I found really powerful in this inspiring course is that it taught me how to make patterns that stand out, are relevant to today’s market, but also truly me” – Renske de Kinkelder | Website

“The Module 2 class was a transformative experience for me, as the assignments pushed me out of my comfort zone. This class made me get comfortable being uncomfortable with my design progress” – Pippin Schupbach | Website

13.Christine-Anderson--Floral-Bee-Repeat-copy

“The most powerful element for me out of this course was learning that designers can be very successful making art that isn’t necessarily a repeat. I had been fighting that part of the process. It was not a natural way for me to design. As a classically trained artist I believe my best work does not necessarily fit neatly in a box” – Christine Anderson | Website

14.CheenaKaul-Neons01

“I am glad I joined the course and it has really helped me knit my patterns together. I feel empowered! Only wish I had started this much earlier!” – Cheena Kaul | Website

15.Aisling-Griffin-Lavender-Rows_LR

“The M2 course has been a great inspiration for me. I have learned how to develop my own style, how to put a collection together, all about trends and so much more. I feel like this is just the beginning and am very excited to have gained this vital experience and knowledge in the world of surface pattern design” – Aisling Griffin | Website

16.sarabrezzi-happy-wheels-low-res

Now I have a wider horizon in front of me and I’m supported by the help of a wonderful and supportive, great community, spread around the World!!!” – Sara Brezzi | Website
