Agnieszka Kobylińska is from Warsaw, Poland and took Module 1 in August 2013 followed by Module 2 in November 2013.

Where I’m now and successes along the way:

On December 2014, one year after finishing two modules of ABSPD I quitted my day job to fully concentrate on developing skills and style to work as a surface pattern designer. I’ve taken plenty of classes & creative prompts (including MIID Summer Schools!) Now, a year later, I make freelance projects in this field and have some successes on my account :)

On April 2014 two out of my three designs submitted to the minted fabric challenge in dec. 2014 has been announced to be the winning ones. “Grassland” was in the Top20 and “Sparkles” Editor’s Choice. These designs can be now bought on a variety of products in my minted store

On July 2015 I was admitted to Jovoto Textile Orbit, a carefully curated group of the best textile designers and pattern designers on jovoto. Since then, one of my designs prepared for a private brief has been chosen to be licenced for the client’s archive

Till now many of my designs have been featured as “Design of the day”/”Design of the week” on Cottonbee.pl, a polish company printing on fabrics.

This October 2015 I’ve started to work as a freelance textile designer for Colette&Blue textile design studio

I recently won a Portfolio Challenge on Bonnie Christine skillshare class

3 interesting facts about me:

– I sing in a chamber choir as an alto

– During studies I did an internship in a nuclear power plant in France as a work psychologist

– I’m obsessed with sketchbooks&notebooks. I need to have one always with me, even if I know I won’t have occasion to use it!
