We’re so excited that Surtex is coming around again! For those of you who are new to the Surtex excitement, it’s the only show in North America solely devoted to selling and licensing original art and design for all types of products.
Each year we bring you a series of Surtex previous / sneak peeks into the collections of those who are exhibiting, and we are extremely proud that many of “The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design” e-course students have and continue to feature at the show.
As well our our very talented ABSPD students, our very own Rachael Taylor will be exhibiting at the show and has been sharing sneak peeks of her work in progress via Instagram and the Rachael Taylor blog.
The 2017 show will be taking place on May 21-23, 2017 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. If you’re showing work at the show this year, we want to hear from you about your preparation for the show!
Take a look at the submission guidelines below to feature in our Surtex previews and send the following info to the Make it in Design team at [email protected]:
- Designers Name
- How are you preparing for the show?
- Show stand no.
- About you as a designer.
- Are you doing any other shows in 2017? (We’d love to help you promote your presence at these shows too!)
- Which ABSPD course(s) have you taken if you’re a graduate?
- Weblinks.
- 2-6 images* of your work/ collections
And/or
- Your Surtex Flyer
- 1 image* of you
* Please only submit images you have taken yourself, or have permission to use from other people (in which case please include image credit info)
(Please provide all images at 550 pixels wide and ‘save for web’ jpegs)
We will be featuring Surtex previews on the Make it in Design blog in the run up to the show beginning Monday 15th May!
