MARIA’S DESIGN TIPS

1. Trust the process My relationship with colour is very intuitive, I truly choose my own feelings when I am working.

2. Keep exploring I think after you learn the basic of colour theory, you still need to make your own colour story. You need to make your own journey and learn from experimenting, trying new combinations and knowing what you do and don’t like.

3. Get feedback from others I think it’s very important to share your work. I have learned a lot from feedback. I’ve always stayed true to myself and to what I believe I have to deliver. But feedback can help you to see things in a new way, in a different with a different perspective.

4. Stop questioning yourself Rejection can be something really hard to overcome and we all deal with it differently. I still find myself dealing with it in my professional career and my every day. I think when you truly realize that it is nothing personal and there are all these different reasons why clients say no.

5. Be consistent Whatever the medium you use, try to maintain a work rhythm. When I let my creativity run free is when I have the most fun, always find time to create from that freedom.

6. Get out of that comfort zone The best advice I can give you is to keep working, keep experimenting, keep developing.
