****** WINNERS ANNOUNCED ******
In collaboration with Chronicle Books, we were thrilled to offer readers of MOYO magazine the chance to get their hands on one of FIVE FREE copies of Amy Butler’s new book – ‘Piece Keeping‘.
Thank you to everyone who entered the competition over the last couple of months. To enter we asked you to share a sewing goal for 2017 with us and we are delighted to announce our 5 winners as:
- Franca: I’m really excited to play with my new (to me) 1964 Bernina sewing machine, turning found cloth and clothing into beautiful pieces of art to have, wear and love, covered in unique and colourful free machine embroidery. 2017 – the year I get to release colour, pattern, creativity….bring it on!
- Rhiannon Pettie: My sewing goal for 2017 is to make a king sized bed quilt out of all the amazing chevron prints over the years. They are my favourite so it will look crazy but cool!
- Madiha: My sewing goal for 2017 is to create a twin size quilt, for my 7 year old daughter. I have only made a crib size quilt in the past and have been a little intimidated about starting something bigger. I love books about sewing! I am hoping this year to actually make the lovely quilt I have in my mind.
- Dee Summers: I’m collecting old clothes and fabric that have memories attached. I’m going to use these to create an heirloom blanket for each child that can be added to as they grow up. Who knows, they may even add fabric scraps from their own children.
- Carol Lelivelt: When my Mom died, she left behind some fabulous hand sewn ultrasuede suits. They don’t fit me, nor are they my style or size! So I plan on turning them into patchwork suede pillows. I’ll have a nice reminder of my Mom whenever I sit on the couch!
CONGRATULATIONS!
