MAKE IT IN DESIGN IS CLOSING DOWN – Thank you for thirteen amazing years!
After thirteen fantastic years, we have made the tough decision to close the doors of Make It In Design at the end of 2024. We know this will come as a shock to many of you, and we want you to know this is not a decision we have made lightly. We also want to take this opportunity to thank you for being part of this one-of-a-kind community, and invite you to celebrate with us in our huge closing down sale (80% off everything!)
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU:
If you are currently on our courses:
All current purchased courses have access until December 31st, 2024, at which point they will no longer be accessible. We will continue to support all students until that date. Please note there will be no classroom access extensions under any circumstances, and the team will not be able to provide individual support beyond the end of 2024, so we recommend downloading all the classroom content before December.
If you purchased The Master Series LIVE September 2024:
This class has been cancelled. You should have received an email about it, but if not please drop a line to the team at [email protected] for your options.
If you are a Live Hub member:
The Live Hub will be running as usual (full of juicy content!) until December 31st, 2024. We will be continuing the current quarter of content (July – September) and there will be a new quarter of content from October – December. All members have been asked to change to a monthly subscription by email – if you have not received this please email [email protected]. In November you will be contacted about getting the month of December for FREE as a token of our gratitude for your understanding.
If you are purchasing courses in our giant closing down sale:
All courses will have access until December 31st, 2024, at which point all classrooms will close. Most classroom content is downloadable so please be sure to download anything you need before then. Please note videos can only be streamed in the classroom (not downloaded) so you will need to watch them before the deadline of December 31, 2024. (Transcripts are downloadable). There are no exceptions to this so please plan in the time you need to do this!

COURSES AND LIVE HUB:
When can I access my course until?
December 31st, 2024, after which time the classroom will be closed (no exceptions). Most classroom content is downloadable so please be sure to download anything you need before then. Please note videos can only be streamed in the classroom (not downloaded) so you will need to watch them before the deadline of December 31, 2024 (transcripts are downloadable).
When can I access the Live Hub until?
Until you cancel or December 31st, 2024, after which time the classroom will be closed (no exceptions).
Can I extend my course or Live Hub access?
Make It In Design is closing its doors for good on December 31, 2024, so there will be no access or support available beyond this date.
Can I get a refund?
As per our Terms & Conditions we do not provide refunds. The exception is The Master Series Live (September 2024) which was cancelled by us. If you were registered for this course, you will have received an email about it. If not please email the team at [email protected].
I purchased a course/s a while ago and my access ended. Can I get access now?
You are welcome to repurchase any course in our 80% OFF Grand Closing Down Sale which is ON NOW.
How can I access the content in the future?
You can access everything as usual until December 31, 2024. No extensions are possible so please make sure you have logged in and downloaded anything you need before then. Please note videos can only be streamed, not downloaded, so please allow ample time for that (transcripts can be downloaded).
How can I save the classroom content?
All classroom pdfs can be download where it says >> DOWNLOAD << including resources, support notes and transcripts.
Classroom lessons can be saved as a pdf in your browser:
In Safari go to File > Export as PDF
In Chrome open the Chrome Menu in the top right, click the ‘Print’ option, change the Print Destination to ‘Save as PDF’ and click Save.
In Firefox open the menu with 3 horizontal lines in the top right, click on ‘Print’, change the Destination to ‘Save to PDF’ and click Save.
OR you can copy and paste the content into a document.
Can the classroom content be uploaded to other platforms after the closing date?
We have made the decision not to continue Make it in Design and this includes the content in any format. Thank you for your understanding.
What will happen to the Make It In Design class Facebook groups?
ALL Facebook groups will be deleted on or soon after December 31, 2024.
What will happen to the Make It In Design Instagram, Facebook, X and Pinterest pages?
ALL accounts will be deleted on or soon after December 31 2024.
What if I need to contact you after December 31, 2024?
Make It In Design will close its doors forever on December 31, 2024, and all social media accounts and Facebook groups will be shut down on or soon after that date. Our team will no longer be able to offer any support and will not be available to respond to individual enquiries. Thank you for your understanding. You can find Rachael Taylor here and Beth Kempton here but please be aware we will not be able to respond to individual enquiries relating to Make It In Design.
Will there be a Winter Design School 2025?
Sadly no. Make It In Design is closing its doors forever on December 31, 2024, and will not be offering any more courses, workshops or memberships.
Where can I find similar creative courses?
You can get mentoring from Rachael Taylor here, writing courses from co-founder Beth Kempton here, or access a host of creative classes at makeartthatsells.com (also co-founded by Beth Kempton).
What will happen to my information?
After December 31st, 2024, any data stored on makeitindesign.com in order to deliver classes and memberships will be deleted. Your data will also be deleted from the Make It In Design marketing database (which will cease to exist). As we have always done, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties. Please see our terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Will I still be able to listen to the Make it in Design podcast?
Unfortunately the episodes are no longer available.
Will I still be able to access the blog, free tips and resources on the website?
The website will still be available until December 31st, 2024, after which point the website will be shut down and the resources will no longer be available.
Will I still be able to access the Facebook group/s and Make it in Design social media?
No, all groups and social media accounts will be shut down on or soon after December 31, 2024, so be sure to make your own connections elsewhere before then! You can follow the team’s own accounts here: Rachael Taylor | Beth Kempton | Kelly Crossley | Vic Lem.
ABOUT THE CLOSURE:
Why is Make it in Design closing?
After thirteen wonderful years our co-founders have mutually decided to focus their attention elsewhere and close Make It In Design on a high. Rachael will continue to design, mentor 1:1 clients and teach in person, and Beth will focus on supporting her growing writing community, mentoring first-time authors and writing books.
Will Make It In Design be sold to someone else?
No, we are not selling Make It In Design. We are closing it for good. (So be sure to get yourself a bargain in our Grand Closing Down Sale before everything is gone!)
Will Make it in Design return at some point?
No, we have no intention of resurrecting Make It In Design at any point. We have loved the past thirteen years, but we are closing the curtains on this particular chapter. Thank you to all our amazing students for this wonderful adventure. (Be sure to get yourself a bargain in our Grand Closing Down Sale before everything is gone!)
