We have a competition to let you know about on the blog today:
Think Big, O2’s social action programme, is celebrating five years of giving young people the digital and entrepreneurial skills they need to create positive change across the UK and Europe. O2 Think Big, along with their award-winning global branding agency Lambie-Nairn, is partnering with Talenthouse to invite designers and illustrators to create assets for a new Think Big brand to engage and inspire more young people to lead positive social change.
A rebranding of O2’s initiatives is normally led by the creative agency with inputs from different audiences. This time, O2 is putting talented young creatives in the driving seat, using their artistic skills to forge a new identity for the programme. It’s a hugely exciting collaboration which aims to genuinely support, enable, recognise and reward aspiring youth and creative talent.
To date, Think Big, which counts world tennis champion Rafa Nadal as one of its supporters, has been responsible for over 10,000 youth projects which have impacted many more lives of young people and communities across Europe.
Talenthouse is dedicated to empowering creatives around the world to make ideas happen by providing them with opportunities to collaborate with major brands, and receive financial rewards and global exposure for their work.
The selected artist will collaborate with O2, have their work seen globally, and receive a cash award of €2,000. They’ll also enjoy an all-expenses paid trip to London to meet Lambie-Nairn’s creative heads to develop their submission into Think Big’s new brand. This work will then be used across Europe on digital and social platforms, billboards, and campaigns. Expert career advice and guidance on enhancing their portfolio will also be offered. In addition, 6 highly commended artists, alongside the two artists who receive the highest number of public votes will each receive €500.
Senior members of Lambie-Nairn’s creative team including their Executive Creative Director, Adrian Burton, will join the judging panel alongside Tim Simmons, creative director for Lambie-Nairn Madrid, his colleague Philipp Muhlebach, creative director Munich, Peter Holmes, O2 brand director, and Lydia Loste, head of communications at Telefonica Foundation.
Designers and illustrators have until March 12, 2015 at 09:00 AM GMT to submit their ideas here: https://www.talenthouse.com/i/create-art-for-o2-telefonica-and-think-big
