How to use the rotate tool in Adobe Illustrator! Want to rotate your motifs but don’t know how to do so with the perfect angle or measurements? The rotate in Adobe Illustrator is just the thing for that!
- Grab your shape or motif with the Selection tool
- Next go to your toolbar and select the Rotate tool
- Find the centre of your shape or motif and using that as a guide place your rotation point below your motif
- Hold down on the alt key and and click and drag your motif to make a copy
- Hold CMD and D to copy your last action multiple times until you are happy with the shape
- Practice placing the rotation point in different places to create more unique rotations!
