How to use the Smooth Tool in Adobe Illustrator. Wishing your hand-drawn lines with the Pencil or Brush tools in Illustrator were smoother? Looking for a quick way to make this happen? This is the tool for you!
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Select your path or motif
- Go to Object > Path > Smooth…
- Use the slider or the auto smooth button to smooth out your path
TIPS:
- This can also be done on hand-drawn fonts or paths made with the Brush tool
- You can also access the Smooth Tool in your toolbar under the Pencil tool, which you can use to smooth out individual sections
