The year is shown in a circle design with each month a segment of that circle. Around the edges are illustrations relating to the particular time of year – starting with the clock striking midnight and ending with piles of Christmas pressies. The design is detailed and full of things to look at. The initials of each month and the year itself are hand drawn typography.
The print is double sided with a pattern on the reverse so can be used as a poster after 2014

The four weeks leading up to Christmas, called Advent, is the season of Mary. This piece features the traditional Catholic Hail Mary prayer, inspired by the passages in the Gospel of Luke. It is painted in a colorful folk style and features the text of the prayer around and within the form of Mary.
The matted art prints are created in my studio using an Epson Stylus Photo R3000 with pigmented inks on Canson Infinity Edition Etching Rag and matted in an archival white matting and backing to fit an 11 x 14″ frame size. 11 x 14 Prints are open editions.Custom sizes are available here
Jen Norton is a native Californian, with a BFA from Santa Clara University. She was a professional graphic designer before turning to painting and illustration. Jen uses expressive color and texture to tell stories of meaningful relationships and everyday moments. Jen took Module 2 & 3 this year

The Austin Mini cushion cover is from a limited edition cushion cover collection, which has been inspired by my affection for iconic vehicles of the past. My original artwork has been digital printed to convey the appearance of the ‘offset screen-print’ process.
My aim is that owning one or more of these unique cushion covers will evoke reminiscences from an era where vehicles projected personality.

To preserve the digital print please Dry clean cushion cover only
The pigment dyes are printed directly onto the 1/2 panama cotton fabric and baked to fix the dye in a user- friendly process.
Monica is a textile artist who is passionate about illustration and surface design. She loves creating quirky illustrations. Monica combines traditional drawing with the creative qualities of digital techniques to produce original artwork that have a retro aesthetic, digitally printed onto textiles and paper products. Monica took all three modules early this year.
