We are very excited to bring you a series of Tradeshow previews of shows taking place this May 2014. Pulse London is taking place in London 11-13 May, 2014
We are extremely proud of many of “The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design” e-course students and are pleased to be celebrating their success with them as they prepare for the various shows.
How are you preparing for the show?
This is my first time to Pulse and to a London Trade Fair, though I have exhibited both at the Harrogate British Craft Trade Fair and Glasgow Spring Trade Fair previously. The BIG difference for me this time is the items that I am selling, as I have moved from more of a maker role to a “designer role”…. something I’ve been working towards (slowly!) since taking the ABSD Module 1 course way back in 2012.
I’m taking with me a colourful range of cushions, cards, prints and embroidery kits…all inspired by nature and its bounties. These are all new designs and products which are exclusively being launched at Pulse. Exciting!
The most challenging part for me at the moment is coming up with a design for my stand which can display and showcase all my items but that I can fit into a suitcase and carry on the train!
