Back by popular demand, the Make it in Design Summer School offers exciting creative briefs inspired by 2020 trend reports from the fabulous top trend forecasting websites Porter & Brawn and WGSN! It also offers an amazing chance to get your work published, and comes with awesome bonus materials, fun tasks, great prizes, and lots of surprises!
Summer School 2019 is a 4-week online design event running from July 29 – 23 August. It’s aimed at designers who want to fill their summer with inspiration and creativity.
There are three tracks to choose from – Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced – they are an ideal platform to learn how to design to a Spring / Summer 2020 trend-inspired brief, to connect with other designers around the world, to grow your portfolio, and to win prizes! Please feel free to sign up for one or more options and use this opportunity to stretch yourself, meet other creative, experience working to a brief, expand your portfolio, and even get your work published!
Each track is priced at £22 (bundle deals are available for multiple tracks: £38 for two tracks and £49 for all three tracks) and registration includes:

Pink Pig International are offering a FREE place on ALL THREE TRACKS of the Make it in Design Summer School 2019. In addition one lucky winner will get the chance to see their winning design feature on the cover of a Pink Pig sketchbook.
To take part you need to create a ‘summer celebration’ surface pattern design and share via Instagram.

HOW IT WORKS
- Create a ‘summer celebration’ surface pattern design. (One design per entrant please)
- Be sure to create your surface pattern design at 300 DPI (square, portrait, or landscape is fine) and share as a low-res image online in the first instance
- Please retain your high res version should you be selected as the winner and you will be contacted directly for this
- Share your entry on Instagram using the hashtags #makeitindesign #pinkpigsketchbooks #summerschool2019 no later than Thursday July 25, 2019.

The Small Print
- The winner will be chosen by The Pink Pig Team after Thursday July 25, 2019 and announced on the MIID website.
- The prize is for a place on the beginner, intermediate and advanced track of Summer School 2018 which starts July 29, 2019.
- The Summer School 2019 prize is not transferable and not exchangeable for any monies.
- In addition the winner will be offered the chance to see their winning design feature on a sketchbook.
