The third and final set of galleries from the Make It In Design Summer School are now live and we hope you will enjoy looking at all the submissions as much as we have. It has been amazing to unite the thousands of designers across the globe who signed up to participate in creating patterns this summer. All our participants have really pushed the boundaries with the briefs and challenged themselves, learning new skills and experimenting along the way. With three different categories of live briefs, there has been a track to suit everyone’s level of designing and we are so excited by the results of the final brief!

Here are some of the patterns for the beginners theme of ‘Jewels’. Motifs inspired by embellishments, buttons and beads – the designs are artful and opulent!
Take a look at this selection of designs for the Intermediate theme of ‘Feathers’ – Some gorgeous patterns that use imagery of quills, wings and scalloped shapes.
Our Advanced brief’s theme this time is ‘Intricate Chaos’ – The designs submitted for this brief are an explosion of pattern! Details in the designs bring to mind mosaics, tiles and stained glass.
Congratulations to everyone who has taken part in Summer School for their amazing designs that have inspired and brightened our summer. It has been so much fun and a great community of positive, pattern-loving participants!
