Surtex 2015 Preview: Sophie Brabbins

We are very excited to bring you a series of Surtex previews for the 2015 show taking place on May 17 – 19, 2015 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. Surtex is the only show in North America solely devoted to selling and licensing original art and design for all types of products.

How are you preparing for the show?

I have been preparing for Surtex by producing lots of lovely new watercolour surface pattern designs. I have been inspired by warmer climes for my latest designs referencing tropical blooms and cute creatures.

Sophie Brabbins is a happy, hard working illustrator and surface pattern designer. Born and raised in Yorkshire, her designs are inspired by the beautiful countryside surroundings she grew up in.Sophie is extremely passionate about creating beautiful watercolour illustrations and surface pattern designs. All of her work is carefully drawn and painted with great consideration of tone and shade.
