How are you preparing for the show?
After exhibiting at Surtex 2015 with a collective of artists, I realized that I needed my own booth to really being able to stand out and share my work. Once I booked the mini booth (special deal for first timers) I really focussed on MY vision for my art without thinking about what works for others and what other designers do. I don’t really work in collections and I create in a variety of styles so my biggest challenge is to show potential clients that all my different art pieces do go well together and complement each other.
Despite creating a lot of new work and correcting or modernizing old art, I spend a lot of time on marketing. My background in advertising and print production has helped me tremendously to create a promo video, press kit and marketing materials – I can’t wait for June 21 (but I’m also a bit nervous)!

About you as a designer.
I’m a German artist, illustrator and surface pattern designer and I create vintage-inspired digital collages, which combine multiple mediums and techniques. I specialize in dramatic flower portraits, ethnic inspired art, elegant geometrics, modern abstracts, and delicate illustrations.
My art targets the modern, self-confident woman, who pursues her dreams to live life to its fullest. Remember yesterday. Dream tomorrow. Live today. And don’t forget to laugh! Because a day without laughter is a day wasted (Charlie Chaplin).
