We are excited to launch our biggest ever competition with a Grand Prize of £1000 worth of courses from Make It In Design!

This is a career-transforming opportunity and will be fun to participate in too!

This competition celebrates the launch of Make It In Design Co-Founder Beth Kempton’s new book We Are in This Together: Finding hope and opportunity in the depths of adversity which was written in lockdown and published just last week, to help us deal with the current turmoil and reimagine a positive future.

You are invited to illustrate or represent typographically a quote from the book. Not only do we have some amazing prizes, but we will also be showcasing many of the entries widely across our social media accounts. This is a great chance to shine!

You MUST include Beth Kempton’s name next to her words in your piece in order to be eligible for this competition.

You can use any style, any colours and any medium. We encourage hand-drawn typography, but you can also use the font of your choice in combination with an illustration or pattern.

Your artwork must be square and created high res, but submitted at low res (72 dpi)

There is no obligation to buy the book in order to enter this competition, but you might find it inspiring at this time, and it will give more context to the words above. DEADLINE:

Your piece must be submitted to the gallery HERE by 3pm GMT on Tuesday June 16, 2020.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

The winner will be announced on Instagram @makeitindesign.com on Thursday June 18, 2020.

This competition is open to anyone over 18, anywhere in the world, and is run by Make It In Design (The Organisers).

The Organisers accept no responsibility for artwork not submitted on time due to technical issues.

No purchase is necessary to enter, and there is no entry fee.

By submitting your work for this competition you give permission for the Organisers to showcase your entry at any time, regardless of whether or not you win, on makeitindesign.com or any social media account run by the Organisers or the Co-Founders of Make It In Design.

The Grand Prize winner and three Runners Up will be chosen by the Organisers from the entries submitted in accordance with the submission guidelines on makeitindesign.com.

The Organisers’ decision on the winner is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Grand Prize is GBP £1000 worth of online courses from the makeitindesign.com website. There is no cash alternative and the prize is not transferable. When redeeming the prize, the value of courses selected will be as per their stated full price as at May 28, 2020, including any sales tax (VAT). No discounts or bundle offers can be used in conjunction with this prize. If there is any credit remaining by December 31 2020, this will be forfeited.

The Runners Up may choose from any of the self-paced courses available on makeitindesign.com. They must enrol by December 31 2020 or the prize will be forfeited.
