atelophobia

“Atelophobia”

A friend of mine brought me a drawing of the word ‘atelophobia’ written in different forms of the letters. I traced the with tracing paper. There’s a technique I learned in high school where you trace an object of any kind if you want like a pattern look. You flip over the paper and retrace what you traced. You do it a couple of times, well depends how many you want. So I did the technique with like a mirror effect..Then I lasted  added extra, I guess, weight to some parts of each letter. I added some curvy lines on each side of the paper. Just the left and the right side.

curves
“Curves”

I was inspired with the 60s music posters

daisy

“Daisy”

About 3 years ago, I bought myself a cell phone and I was looking through the wallpapers it had so I could put on the screen of the phone. I found a close up picture of a daisy or a sunflower I think it was and It had like a linear texture on some of the pedals. I liked the way it looked so I wanted to add a stripes look to each pedal. The circles were the water drops.
heartleaves
“Heart leaves”

I’ve always liked looking at tree leaves. The look of the texture is what inspired me to do these leaves. I again did the tracing technique.

hearts

“Hearts”
I wonder who made the heart shape. I was inspired by four left clovers. I again did the tracing technique.

stars

“Stars”

This is actually a funny story. My little friend bought a candy box by the shaped of the star from those Mario video games that were way back in the day. I don’t remember what I was thinking but I liked the way the star was shaped so I traced a couple of times and curvy lines around them. I then added weight on some I guess corners of the curvy lines.

swirlyrocks

“Swirly Rocks”

It was giraffe. I remember using the pattern for a piece when I was in high school. I graduated and I remember looking at the artwork I did in high school and really like the pattern. So I retrace the entire print and added tiny swirls on each shape. For some reason, it reminded me of rocks in a stream so I added like a striped sort of look as streams.
triangles

“Triangles”

I liked school but I hardly paid attention during my art class. I really like stripes and I wanted to do something different with a stripes look

ways
“Ways”

I used french arc curves. I then added some details like curvy lines.  I wanted to add so many things and make a collage with different types of techniques.
