Catherine Young is a British Artist and Children’s Book Writer. Since studying Art and Textiles and a Degree in Communication & Image Studies she has developed a charming lifestyle brand called Bumpkin. Lindsay Buck {Slumbermonkey Designs}
My favourite item is my “Hare with a Green Scarf”, shrink plastic brooch. It features a hand drawn illustration and colour, is varnished and mounted on a brooch pin. It retails at £8.
I decided to follow my dream of designing and making after taking the second module of ABSPD. Having spent the last 11 years as a teacher of Art and Design this was a bold step. I love colour, pattern and quirky details and I aim to bring this out in all that I do. I took all three modules this year.
