Welcome back to the Make it in Design blog! Today we’re thrilled to share a gorgeous curation of artwork out of Summer School 2020!
Summer School is an annual online creative event where we provide creatives all over the globe with cutting edge design briefs to push their creativity and skill set, and to expand their design portfolio. This year we were honoured once again to partner with trend consultancy Porter & Brawn who also provided us with hot trends for our Summer School participants as well as for our exclusive online members’ club The Make it in Design Live Hub!
Below you can find Porter & Brawn’s top picks from each track of Summer School 2020:
Commenting on their selection, P&B said:
“Once again Summer School attendees have blown us away with their work and we cannot express how impressed we continue to be by the caliber of entrants and level of work. We were especially impressed by the clear understanding of the briefs yet students’ ability to adapt the trend to suit their own style and to manipulate and change the colour palettes. It was a challenge to pick our favourites yet again but we’ve gone with designs which grabbed our attention, answered the brief and a couple of designs which surprised and delighted us in an unexpected yet well-thought through way. We loved the variety of sunflowers in Indian Summer, the electric underwater life in Neon Fanatic, skillful layering in Sundown, the intricate geos of Outline and of course the sheer volume of impressive designs created for Indian Summer and Floral Collage. Really well done everyone, we hope your boundaries have been pushed and your portfolios expanded! All the best, Sarah and Victoria.”
We want to say a MASSIVE well done to all the students mentioned below and a huge THANK YOU for all of who participated in Summer School 2020!
