How to use the 3D Inflate tool in Adobe Illustrator. Looking for new ways to create dynamic typography? Would you love to see how your patterns look 3D? This is a great tool for creating designs with more impact.
- Choose your font and type out your text and add colour (we recommend a bold, thick font)
- Go to Object> Expand
- Then go to Effect > 3D and Materials > Inflate
- Go to the Materials section and increase the metallic slider
- Then experiment with the sliders in the Lighting section to get your desired effect
- You can also create the same effect with your motifs to create a 3D pattern
