How to intertwine fonts in Adobe Illustrator. Trying to design a unique logo or want to experiment more with fonts? The intertwine tool is a great way to make more dynamic typography.
- Layout your text on your document, making sure to make two separate text objects where you want to intertwine. For example we have split the word between the two o’s
- Now select both pieces of text, go to the top menu and click Object> Intertwine> Make
- New use the lasso tool that will appear to draw around where you want to intertwine your letters
- They will now be intertwined and your lettering all one piece
We encourage you to experiment with different ways of intertwining your letters. Trying with two sets of fonts might be fun!
