Today, with kind permission of our members we bring you a snippet of these sessions to see just how invaluable the truly are!

“I’ve been a member of the Live Hub for about 8 months. The monthly trend briefs are professional and inspirational, and I have submitted several of my collections for review. I was very excited to have my Miami Beach Club collection chosen for review by the guest expert in the live Zoom. She provided detailed and supportive feedback. I made the changes that were suggested and was very pleased with the results. I have now included the collection in my soon-to-be-completed portfolio”.

“I joined the Live Hub at the beginning of April 2023 and it’s the second project I have submitted for review, but the first one where my work has been featured. Both Jo and your kind words were so encouraging they actually made me well up! I’ve been working on my watercolour techniques for months and it was a bit of a gamble putting them in mySummer Picnic project. I wasn’t sure if they were good enough. I’m so glad I did and you appreciated the result.

I also valued the constructive comments about the mock ups on the collection board, I think you are right – they need to be bigger. I’m excited to follow up some of the suggestions from Jo about bedding ideas and other colourways for the gingham. I am currently building my portfolio so I can pitch to companies so this will help to expand my range. The feedback exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much”.

“I’ve been a member of the Live Hub for several years now – at a guess I’d say 4 or 5 . I have submitted work before and have been lucky enough to have had feedback on more than one occasion. With regard to the Miami Beach Club brief – I was delighted to have been selected for feedback which was lovely and positive. It’s always great to be told that your work is appreciated, especially when you‘ve spent a lot of time on it. I used the presentation I did for that brief in a pitch I sent to the Next childrenswear recently (and for which I had an encouraging response)”.
