Today we will be announcing the winners from our cover re-design competition for our Co-founder Rachael Taylor’s book Power Up your Creativity!
We just wanted to start off by saying THANK YOU to everyone who submitted and to let you know this is the hardest competition we’ve ever had to judge due to the amount of talent shown. You should all be so very proud of yourselves! Be sure to scroll further down to read some general feedback which will help you when submitting for future competitions.

GENERAL FEEDBACK
As we mentioned the amount of talent shown in this competition was astounding but we do have some general feedback to provide you, so that it may help you with future competitions or work submissions.
Always check information and for errors – Many submissions misspelled Rachael’s name which therefore meant those entries were not valid. It’s always good practice to check you have everything spelled correctly before submitting.
Always check entry requirements – Some submissions were considered for winning but were not valid because they had not followed the entry requirements such as following the Instagram accounts mentioned.
Always check artwork requirements – Several submissions were not set up or entered at the correct size, even with a template included. Bleed is also a very important thing to pay attention to with books especially and some design elements and text would have been cut off in real world publishing.
If you are unsure, ask – We are a super friendly team and happy to help with any questions you have!

The decision on the winners by the team will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. There is also no cash alternative.
You will retain full copyright to your design and it will not be used for any other purpose.
Rachael Taylor is a trademarked brand and will retain full copyright to the title Power Up Your Creativity and all of the original cover artwork.
The coaching sessions and any Make it in Design classes will be delivered online and there is no requirement to be in a particular location.
If you have already purchased a coaching session, then this will be considered an additional session.
If you have already purchased an online course then you will need to choose an additional course for your prize, refunds will not be given.
You give permission for your details to be shared with our prize partners.
The online booth, cash prize and mentoring session from Blue Print will be handled directly by their staff.
Fabric printing prizes will be handled directly by Fashion Formula.
Book prizes will be sent by Quarto.
Prizes from our partners will be delivered by said partners and will not be the responsibility of the Rachael Taylor Studio or Make it in Design. Queries about those prizes will need to be sent directly to those partners.
