“I took modules 1 and 2 in 2013. I learnt a lot of things during this time but most importantly I got the confidence to pursue a career in illustration and surface pattern design. The biggest confidence boost I got was when you chose one of my first illustrations to be featured in MOYO magazine – issue 4. That’s when I realised I was on the right path and I just needed to build up a portfolio.
I’m so happy to say that nowadays I’m represented by a great art agency – Advocate Art! (here’s a link to my portfolio) Since joining them I’ve worked on so many amazing projects such as diary covers, wall charts, children’s picture books, etc. I actually sold one of the patterns I created during your ABSPD class to a big UK company – hopefully it’ll be in the shops next year!
