Texture in New York

Back in August Rachael Taylor and Make it in Design Education and Resource Office Vic Lem had the fantastic opportunity to visit New York as the ‘Official Education Partner’ of Printsource, one of the top surface and textile design shows in the world. It was great to visit the show ahead of next year when two of talented students from The Ultimate Portfolio Builder will be exhibiting as part of an exclusive competition held in both our May and September classes of this advanced seven-week online professional surface pattern design course. Back in September we announced Anne Bollman as the first winner and we will be announcing the second winner in January 2016.

In addition this was a superb chance to meet many of our wonderful design community including current students and alumni but also to take in the wonderfully inspiring sights of New York. As we’ve just celebrated the 4th birthday of Make it in Design, World Pattern Day and started  #100daysofpattern we wanted to bring you a snippet of NYC texture to enjoy!
