Last month the Make it in Design celebrated our 5th birthday and World Pattern Day! As part of these special celebrations we asked you to show the world just how many places this amazingly creative surface pattern design industry touches. Celebrating the awesome talent of those who contribute to it and showing just how truly inspiring and important the world of pattern is for everyone in our every day lives.

HOW IT WORKED

We asked you to simply share your favourite patterned possessions with the world on Instagram! From an item of clothing to your best pen, a piece of furniture to your bedroom wallpaper or your finest china to wrapping paper. It didn’t matter what it was, where it was from, how much it cost or how old it was.
